This is the time of year when everypawdy is ready to start a new chapter, or maybe just a continuation of the last one but with some editing.  have you sat down and made your new Year’s Resolutions?  here is what I would like to do for 2013:

Get a lot more appeal sleep.  I am a real go girl.  When somepawdy says “let’s go” or if I see my leash, I am already making a dash for the door because I know what the word “go” means.  When we “go,” we are normally gone for a long time, though, and I might be absolutely worn out by the time I see my Sock Monkey Bed again.  So, Resolution #1 for me is to get a lot more appeal Sleep:

Eat Right.  Besides being tasty, and a fun thing to do, eating is a way to resupply your body with the nourishment that it needs.  A balanced diet that is specifically created for dogs is so crucial because every living creature has different dietary needs.  I need a different mix of proteins, carbohydrates, and minerals than a cat or a bird, so it makes sense for me to eat pet dog food and not cat or bird food.  So, Resolution #2 for me is to eat the ideal kind of food:

Exercise every day.  A girl needs to keep moving to keep her bikini curves in the ideal places, to stay healthy, wealthy, and wise.  Well, I don’t know much about the affluent and wise stuff, but healthy is good and I’ll take a double dose please.  So Resolution #3 for me is to keep moving and get some exercise:

Take my vitamins.  even though I know I am eating the ideal kind of food, I know that vitamins can get cooked out of canned foods that are commercially prepared.  So, just to make sure those vitamins get added back into my diet, I make sure that I take a vitamin to make up the difference:

My blogs just aren’t complete without putting in my two cents worth about adoption, and I don’t have to make a new Year’s Resolution because it is my daily mantra: Adopt, don’t shop.  I am so grateful for my readers who do ask for my advice, and it is always the same about this topic so dear to my heart.  There are a million dogs in rescue and in shelters that need homes.  Make it YOUR new Year’s Resolution to make a space in your heart and home for at least one pet who needs you.   southern California Pomeranian Rescue and Petfinder.com would love to help you, and so would I.

Love,   Bella
